Enrico Drioli

Honorary Chairman

Enrico Drioli is a distinguished professor and researcher in membrane science and engineering. He is an emeritus professor at the University of Calabria, where he founded the Institute on Membrane Technology (ITM) of the National Research Council (CNR) in 1993. He is also a guest professor at several universities around the world, such as Harbin Institute of Technology in China, University of Technology Sydney in Australia, and Hanyang University in Korea.

He has received numerous awards and honors for his outstanding contributions to membrane science and technology, such as the Richard Maling Barrer Prize of the European Membrane Society, the Honorary Membership of the Czech Society of Chemical Engineering.

He has published more than 1000 papers in international journals and books, with a h-index of 115 according to Google Scholar. He is also an editor or co-editor of several journals and books on membrane topics. He has been involved in many national and international projects on membrane applications for water treatment, gas separation, biotechnology, energy production, and process intensification. He is one of the two honorary chairmen at Euromembrane conference for his remarkable achievements and leadership in membrane field.
