Head of Scientific Committee
Pavel Izák is a leading researcher in the field of membrane science and technology.
He is currently a senior scientist at the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the Czech Academy of Sciences and an associated professor at the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague. His research interests include membrane gas separation, pervaporation, membrane contactors, and membrane characterization.
He has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and books, and holds several patents on membrane-related inventions. He is also actively involved in various national and international projects and networks on membrane research and innovation. He serves as an associate editor for Membranes, international, peer-reviewed, open access journal, and as a member of editorial boards for several other journals in the field.
He is also a Head of Scientific Committee at Euromembrane 2024 conference, the largest European event dedicated to membrane science and technology.
